Attend a Presurgery Education Class
If you are having hip or knee replacement surgery at Centennial Hills Hospital, don’t go through it alone. Joint Camp can help you prepare for surgery. Instructors will define common terms, explain procedures and answer your questions. You’ll share experiences with other patients who are preparing for the same type of surgery as you.
Bring a family or friend “coach” with you to the camp to learn how to help you during surgery and recovery.
Presurgery Video Education
If you are having hip, knee or spine surgery at Centennial Hills Hospital, the Joint and Spine Camp Education video series will help you prepare.
Our new onsite sessions will feature dedicated physician-specific education, discussions of patient expectations before and after surgery, and focus on building the foundation for a safe discharge home.
Attend to learn about:
- Patient-controlled analgesics
- Stryker® pump
- Polar ice machine
- Pulse oximetry
- TED hose
- Auto transfusion
- Tour the unit
- Meet the staff
Date: Every Wednesday (no class May 30)
Time: 3 - 4 p.m.
Location: Centennial Hills Hospital. Check in at the front desk of the hospital lobby.
We highly recommended each surgery patient view the pre-surgery education videos PRIOR to attending the onsite Joint Camp clinic.
