Enroll for Insurance Through the Federal Health Exchange
From November 1, 2018 through December 15, 2018, people without access to health insurance can enroll for standardized coverage through the new health insurance marketplaces that are run by their state, the federal government, or a combination of the two. The Health Insurance Marketplace – also known as Health Exchanges – is part of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA). The Marketplace will help you find health insurance that fits your budget and meets your needs.
The best place to get the latest, most accurate information on the Marketplace is HealthCare.gov. For the state of Nevada, you can also visit NevadaHealthLink.com. There, you can learn what the Health Insurance Marketplace is, who can apply for insurance, how to get insurance, how to lower your costs and more. If you own a small business, there’s information for you, too.
Enroll by December 1, 2018 to start coverage on January 1, 2019. The open enrollment period is scheduled to end on December 15, 2018.
