Childbirth Education ClassesAttending childbirth education classes can help prepare you for delivery and increase your comfort level in caring for your newborn. The Women's Center at Centennial Hills Hospital Medical Center is honored to be a part of this exciting time in your life! We expect our classes* to fill very quickly. Please call to schedule at the beginning of your second trimester. Call 702-388-4888 for class dates, times and locations.

Registration and payment must be received two weeks prior to class date. Upon receipt of payment you will receive a confirmation letter indicating the class(es) you will be attending, dates, times, location and what to wear and bring to class. Please list two phone numbers (preferably day and evening) so that we may contact you before your class. Please list which month you plan to attend.

Class fees are nonrefundable. Please notify us as soon as possible if you are unable to attend your scheduled classes so the next person on the waiting list can attend.

Baby Basics

If you are a first-time parent or just need a refresher in the basics of caring for your infant, come and join us. This course is designed to eliminate your fears about infant care and provide you with early parenting skills and tips.

This class is held on the second Wednesday of the month.

Cost: $50/couple, $30/per person
Location: Conference Rooms 1 & 2
Time: 7:00 – 9:30 p.m.

Childbirth Preparation Class

Prepared Childbirth Class is a one-day, 6-hour Saturday class, specializing childbirth with intervention utilizing epidural and other pain control methods. Relaxation and breathing techniques will also be covered. Breakfast and lunch provided. 

Class is held every First Saturday of the month.

Cost: $80/couple
Location: Conference Rooms 1 & 2
Time: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Breastfeeding Classes

A certified lactation counselor will help you learn the latest information available, which will enable you to succeed with breastfeeding. Topics will include breastfeeding basics (including after a cesarean delivery), positioning, latch-on and the baby's suck, weaning, jaundice, and nipple and breast problems. There will be strategies presented to coordinate breastfeeding with returning to work.

This class will be available every first Tuesday of the month (except January).

Cost: $25/per person (Moms only).
Time: 7:00 – 9:30 p.m.

Women’s Center Tour and Reception

Free tours of The Women’s Center at Centennial Hills maternity unit are available every Sundays at 3 p.m. Other times can be scheduled by special request. Tour groups are limited to a maximum of 10 people. Preregistration for your baby's birth after the tour. We will help.
