Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

Handled With CareHandled with Care

Having a baby is quite miraculous. But some newborns need extra attention. They could have had a difficult time in labor. Or be premature. Or have an illness. If at any time during your pregnancy you suspect your baby might be at risk, it’s smart to choose Centennial Hills Hospital where we have a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) within steps of Labor and Delivery suites.

If your baby is placed in NICU, we’ll do our best to help you through this time. Ask as many questions as you wish. We’ll address your concerns. And if it’s at all possible, we’ll help you spend time with your baby.

In the NICU, there are going to be a lot of healthcare professionals you may not have seen during your pregnancy or your tour of the maternity unit. Each one has a special place in your baby’s care. Talk with them. They comprise part of a very big team effort. And they want to include you. We’re honored that you chose to have your baby with us and we’ll treat you and your baby with respect — sharing information and expectations.
